I would like to relate an interesting experience that I had with the invisible. Experiences which I hope will interject some much needed biblical authority into what is going on because that is where all knowledge about the paranormal begins and ends! We must begin there because as was taught by Christ Jesus as well as the apostles to go outside of that book is extremely dangerous. God is trying to get through to the human race and by all appearances is getting quite desperate in that He is using mankind's own attitude of well I'll believe it when I see it! Accordingly perhaps this will wake them up to the realization that the "Fear of the Lord" is the beginning of knowledge. This is as serious as it gets folks!!!
It was in the early years of my Christian life that I had a most profound experience which changed my outlook about life and led me into a new understanding of the world around us particularly the spiritual. It occurred when I was 19 years of age that's some 29 years ago.
I had just returned home from working an early morning shift and upon entering into the apartment I made my way up the stairs toward my bedroom to change and take a shower. As I turned the corner and was about to enter into my bedroom however, I felt myself being shoved into the wall. Yes I was literally shoved right into the wall! Now, I was as you can well imagine quite startled by this and immediately went into prayer on my knees in my bedroom seeking God's help and protection. I prayed for quite some time seeking Christ to help me through this. It took about three hours after which I felt safe enough to go about the rest of my days activities thinking as I went what a fascinating testimony this was going to be the following Sunday in Church. Little did I know though at the time just how fascinating this was actually going to be because guess what happened the very next day? Exactly the same thing except this time not only did I find myself being pushed into the wall but I actually felt a hand doing the pushing. I actually felt a hand land on my upper right bicep when it pushed me and I landed on the corner of the door-jam. My left foot caught the bottom of the jam bruising my baby toe. With that I again immediately went into prayer seeking God for help. I prayed long and hard asking God both for protection and for revelation as to why this was happening to me? I asked for forgiveness thinking that perchance I had done something wrong and continued in this state of prayer for a significant amount of time that is until I became enveloped with such an incredible feeling of peace that it quite literally flowed through my entire being. It was so strong that I just knelt there totally bathed in the experience of it and was quite awestruck by it. I then proceeded to sing a number of songs after which I retired again thinking as I went what an incredible testimony this was going to be the following Sunday in church.
When Sunday arrived however, I had slept in which was a first for me for I always loved too arrive early for church wanting to sit near the front in my favorite seat. This morning I was late and upon quickly dressing I almost ran the whole way to church. Upon arriving the worship hour was just coming to an end which I was quite upset about and finding the only seat in the house which was in the back row and on the inside corner I settled in to hear the message and was I in for a surprise and a treat for the message was on spiritual warfare by a guest speaker named Dr. Jefferies, a theologian from a Bible College affiliated with the Foursquare Church. I was quite excited by this as one could well imagine and after listening for a few moments could hardly keep my excitement from getting the best of me wanting to jump up and tell everyone about what had just happened to me during the week. I remained seated however, and as I listened to the message I felt a hand touch me on top of my right shoulder and it was an odd kind of a sensation because it felt like it had gone right through the material of my leather jacket and right into the flesh of my shoulder. The sensation was also quite warm in nature and it actually squeezed its hand into my shoulder as though it were trying to comfort me. I whipped my head around me to see who was doing this only to be faced with the back wall. I then glanced at the person next to me but he was embroiled in the pages of the bible. I was stunned and quite agitated because I realized that standing behind me was an angel of the Lord! Wow did I want to jump up and say and/or do something but was reserved in my actions given what people would have thought of such an outburst. You know how it is look at the fanatic and so forth so I kept quiet and seated and it was almost like Christ was counseling me to pay attention to what was being taught because it was an important one and believe me Dr. Jefferies text from Ephesians 6 is one scripture that I will never forget:

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints." Ephesians 6:10-18 NIV

So isn't that interesting and with that I left church that morning with an important and significant teaching from the Lord. Accordingly look well to what you are being told folks! There is a way to judge between what is genuine and what is counterfeit. What is of God and what is not of God!!! Remember the words of Christ Jesus:
DO NOT BE DECEIVED!!!
